bluebird presentation - Sunday May 18th at 2 PM. The DPC Nature Committee has invited Barb Whipkey, an expert in bluebird ecology and behavior. She will give a talk about bluebird biology and how to attract them to your yard and encourage them to nest and reproduce.
Barb also operates Wild Bird Unlimited in Lexington Park and is an extremely knowledgeable birder. Please come and learn about these compelling birds.
Feel free to bring guests if you know someone is interested.
StarGazing Field Trip to Nanjemoy Creek Environmental Center - on Saturday May 31st Join the nature Club on an excursion to use the nanjemoy observatory to get a great look into the night sky. Attendees will meet at 7 PM in the ACE Hardware parking lot and will then carpool to Nanjemoy (1.5hours) for an exciting evening of stargazing. An EVITE will be sent soon to register your place in this event.
