Oktoberfest

  • Audubon Society of Southern Maryland Field Trip - Saturday, September 21 from 8 AM to 11 AM. Bring your binoculars for a 2 - 3 hour bird watching walk around our 25 acre Drum Point property. Walk through our pine groves, bay and river beachfront and along the Drum Point Lake and discover the many species of birds found at our Club. Learn from expert, Judy Ferris of the Southern Maryland Audubon Society, how to identify a variety of water and land birds that naturally funnel down to the point on their migration south. Meet in the parking lot at 8 AM and this event is free to all members.

  • Oktoberfest - Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 4 PM to 9 PM. The Club is holding another fun Oktoberfest celebration. This event will feature a concert by Deanna Dove, a local recording artist who loves rock, gospel, pop and soul and especially loves to sing about her roots living on the waters of southern Maryland. We will serve traditional German brats and burgers. Please bring your favorite beer and a potluck side dish or dessert to share. Water and soda will be provided. Enjoy the music, take a hayride, play bocce ball, walk the beach, and get to know your neighbors and make some new friends.

  • Drum Point Club Women's Group - Bunco Nights. The dates for Bunco Nights (on Mondays) for the rest of the year are: September 30, October 28, and December 2.

  • Bocce Ball - EVERY SUNDAY from 3 to 5 PM! If the temperature is above 90 degrees, bocce ball will be cancelled that day. Bocce Ball comes to the Drum Point Club. Learn the great Italian game of Bocce Ball. You will learn the proper technique to throw the Bocce balls as well as the rules and strategy of the game. Participants will also play one or more games against each other to better understand the game. It’s a social sport, easy to play, low impact, for all levels, ages 10 years and up. Wear a hat, bring sunscreen and water to drink. Have a fun Sunday afternoon at the club.
